We play an active role in the local voluntary and community sector and have forged links with other community organisations, housing associations, CAB, local churches, Food Banks, veterans groups, supermarkets and the local council to help improve life especially for those who are vulnerable, isolated or in the most need.
Our large community room is available to hire for celebrations, meetings, training events or group activities. Our rates are £15 per hour for local residents and community activities and £18 for commercial organisations. We also provide a range of hot and cold food and drinks offers for your event.
We were successful in our application for National Lottery ‘Reaching Communities’ funding and will be providing a programme of free and low cost activities for the community over the next 2 years.
During lockdown we prepared and delivered over 1000 meals and food packages to families in need, isolated and shielding residents, NHS key workers, homeless individuals and families and local veterans.
